Ahoy there! I am Captain Mario, the owner of Barbarossa Sailing and I started my contact with the sea before I was even born! As a descendant of a sailors’ family originating from Skopelos, a small beautiful island of the Sporades complex, my fate was predetermined, I could become nothing but a sailor…

As I was growing older, I worked for many years as a skipper on sailing boats travelling all over the Greek islands feeling proud to present my country to the people visiting us and giving them reasons to remember their time spent here and return. When the time arrived in 1999 I progressed to starting my own business and I acquired my first sailing boat. All these years I never got tired of sailing and giving my guests the best of myself. In 2014 I moved my business in Santorini, one of the most beautiful and unique islands of the world!

Me, and my crews, would be honored and pleased to have you on board and transmit to you our knowledge and experience of this marvelous place we really love.

Five Hour Cruise -

The trip starts from Ammoudi , the small port of Oia and heads towards the Island of Thirassia across Santorinis bay.
Our first stop for a swim and snacks inside Korfos bay which is sheltered from all weather and is still keept the natural beauty of the Island!!
We move on to the south part of Thirassia and slowing down to intentionally observe, connect with, and appreciate the natural world's intricate details and immense beauty admiring nature’s creations at cape "Tripiti" on the south part of the Island !!

The old port of Fira, will slowly come into view and after a short break for photos we will cross the sea to the Volcano.

Here we will have a swim at the Hot Springs and enjoy a meal at "Nea Kameni" "New volcano".
Then we will head toward "Skaros", a Venician castle built in 1207on the cape of "Tourlos".

We will enjoy our last swim in the crystal clear waters of Santorini and sail back to Ammoudi port where the cruise ends and the van is waiting to return you back to your hotel.

Full Day Cruise around Santorini.

The cruise starts from Amoudi in Oia at 11.00 am to Korfos in Thirasia Island where we will stop for a while to take pictures and see the Island. We will then continue and pass by the Cape Tripity and on to Aspronisi . After the swim at the unique limestone beach of the island, we will move on to our next destination.
Then on we make our way to the Red Beach which is the known to be the best place for swim on the entire island, due to the crystal clear waters and the amazing scenery.
On to the White Beach for a close pass at this incredible place! Starting our return to the caldera of Santorini, and pass very close to the Venetian lighthouse and at the cape and after on to the Old port of Santorini and the town of Fira, Imerovigli and Firostefani.

The cruise continues very close to the cliffs of the caldera the "seal's cave", at the narrowest point of the island the church of "Seven Children" that is built into a cave on the shoreline. Passing by the fisherman’s town of Armeni we will admire the church of Agios Nikolaos, (Saint Nicholas) which is built upon a rock Island close to Oia. The cruise will end after the world famous sunset of Oia at the small port of Amoudi where we started our cruise.

Following the path of my great grandfather who was a fisherman, of my grandfather who was a captain on cargo ships as well as of my father and uncles who worked as engineers on tanker ships, I started my sailing steps at the age of 8 years old by sailing small “optimist” boats at the sailing club of the island.
